Backyard Makeover with Custom Pond, Patio, and Landscaping
When our clients began remodeling their new home, they knew they wanted their backyard to feel just as refreshed as the inside. Their vision? A peaceful, low-maintenance landscape design that included a custom pond they could enjoy from inside the home and from their back deck.
Our designer, Eric, created a backyard layout that not only delivered beautiful pond views but also added function and flow to the outdoor space. He included a new stone patio area with room for a picnic table and comfortable outdoor furniture—perfect for weekend lounging or casual entertaining.
One challenge was a new shed located on a small hill in the yard. To improve accessibility while maintaining the natural look of the space, we installed Blue sandstone stairs leading to the shed. These steps were seamlessly integrated into the landscape with carefully chosen plantings and mulch beds, so the structure now blends into the scenery instead of standing out.
This backyard transformation proves that even smaller projects can become outdoor retreats with the right landscape and hardscape design.
