One of the major perks of being a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) is the opportunity to participate in unique, high-profile pond builds across North America. On this occasion, Tussey Landscaping was invited to Los Angeles for an exciting collaborative project: building a custom koi pond for YouTube personality Logan Paul at his newly purchased Hollywood home.
After Logan mentioned in a video that he wanted to install a koi pond, Greg Wittstock—owner of Aquascape—was flooded with messages urging him to make it happen. Plans quickly came together.

Transforming Logan Paul’s Backyard
Before the Koi Pond
In early December, dozens of CACs arrived in LA, ready to bring Logan’s vision to life. The team designed and built a gorgeous outdoor water feature complete with:
- A custom koi pond
- A beautiful, meandering stream
- Bubbling urn fountains
- A bridge leading to Logan’s gym
Although the build was scheduled for two days, Logan needed to leave by early afternoon on day two—so the goal was to finish by 10 AM the next morning.
A Late-Night Push to Meet the Deadline
To stay on track, the CAC team worked late into the night, installing lighting and pushing the project to 90% completion by the end of day one. Many contractors had flown in from the East Coast, working through a three-hour time difference—but the effort paid off.
By morning, the remaining details were polished while Greg and Logan headed out in the famous “Cool Bus” to pick out new koi fish.
The Dramatic Reveal
To heighten the moment, a large curtain was set up to completely hide the finished pond from the house. When Greg and Logan returned with the fish, everyone gathered out of sight as the curtain was dropped for the reveal.
A Surprise Guest
Adding to the excitement, Kamp Kenan traveled from Florida to gift Logan an albino soft-shell Chinese turtle—a new standout member of the Maverick crew.

Logan was thrilled with the transformation. His once-empty backyard now features:
- A custom koi pond
- Bubbling urn fountains
- Cascading waterfalls
- A walkway bridge to his gym
The space has become a peaceful, resort-like retreat that blends relaxation and artistry.
