This project is a fan favorite—and for good reason! Our long-time client wanted something unique and unforgettable for his family to enjoy, and we were thrilled to deliver a one-of-a-kind outdoor living experience. Nestled in a secluded, wooded area, this backyard transformation celebrates the natural beauty of its surroundings while offering the luxuries of a modern outdoor lifestyle.
A Swim Pond That Looks Like a Natural Spring
Our lead designer, Derek, took extra care to craft a custom swim pond that feels like it belongs in the heart of nature. This is more than just a swimming pool—it’s a heated, saltwater swim pond designed to mimic a natural spring. Tucked into the landscape with care, it features a meandering stream and waterfall that flows gently into the main pool area, creating the tranquil sounds of moving water all around.
Natural Stone Features and Unique Design Details
Access to the pool is made effortless and elegant with natural stone stairs leading down into the swimming area. A special corner, sectioned off with large boulders and retaining blocks, gives swimmers a deeper space to relax and float. On the opposite side, a bubbling boulder water feature adds even more soothing sound and visual interest.
We didn’t forget the details underfoot—the pool floor is lined with smooth, decorative pavers to give swimmers a comfortable, finished surface to walk on. Every element was selected to blend with the wooded landscape and offer a low-maintenance, high-enjoyment outdoor retreat.
Outdoor Living at Its Finest
Beyond the water feature, the space expands into a generous paver patio complete with a full outdoor kitchen and fireplace—perfect for entertaining, cooking, or cozy nights by the fire. The covered patio runs parallel to the waterfall, letting you enjoy the sights and sounds of flowing water from the comfort of your seating area.
Functional Hardscaping with Natural Flair
To tie the property together, we installed a paver driveway above and below the home for added accessibility and curb appeal. The walkways and stairs are crafted with Black Hills stone, seamlessly integrating the home with its natural surroundings. We also installed low voltage LED lighting throughout the pool itself and around the whole project. This lights the way for optimal enjoyment, no matter the time of day!
