A Backyard Retreat with Woodland Charm

This beautiful home sits on the edge of a serene neighborhood that backs right up to the woods—creating the perfect natural backdrop for an inviting outdoor living space. Derek partnered closely with the homeowners to design a landscape that brings people together and encourages quality time with family and friends in the great outdoors.

At the heart of the backyard is a peaceful pond, thoughtfully placed for both optimal viewing and easy interaction. A charming stream flows through mountain boulders and features a stunning negative-edge waterfall that gently spills right beside the patio—a favorite feature among guests of all ages.

A spacious pergola anchors the entertaining area, offering plenty of room for comfortable seating. Nearby, a custom stone fireplace adds warmth and ambiance, perfect for cozy evenings and fireside snacks.

The transformation didn’t stop in the back—our team also gave the front yard the attention it deserved. We installed a beautifully crafted paver sidewalk accented with vibrant landscaping and a striking paver art feature that gives the entrance a bold and welcoming personality.

This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful design and natural elements can come together to create a truly special outdoor living experience.
