Contractor Summit INFO
Hey guys,
First, thanks for signing up! Looking forward to spending time with you guys. Just created this page so you have something to refer back to for some details about the event. If you need anything, call:
The office at 814-696-3700 Weston at 814-505-5956 Steve at 814-329-1705 or email weston@tusseylandscaping, or info@tusseylandscaping. You could also message our FB page. Event Location:
Format of the event:
EACH DAY: Begins each day at 8:30 AM 8:30 to 9:30 ish Weston, Reynold, and the rest of the Tussey water feature team will take the first hour of each day and teach 3 principles of achieving natural looking outcomes in your waterfall building. 9:30 to 12:00 After the initial teaching hour, we will dive right in to building water features. We will be focusing primarily on stream construction, as that is where we feel the biggest impact is on natural looking outcomes. The Tussey team will be building, they will be the ones swinging in and setting the boulders; and talking, explaining, answering questions while in action. The intended format is to be able to actually watch one of our water features together, which will likely trigger questions, which you will be able to get answered on the spot. We welcome your engagement on the sidelines and details once the main frame rocks are in place. We're trying to deliver to each one of you a few key lightbulb moments that you can take home with you. 12:00 to 1:00 Lunch - catered in and served inside the shop that is on site. 1:00 - 3:30 Continue what we started in the morning, same format, same approach. Bonus Evening EventWednesday we will wrap it up a little earlier, and let everyone get cleaned up, and drive to Tussey Landscaping's shop. (About an hour and 15 min from the job site)
We will try to get you enough daylight to go see our displays at Tussey Mountain Mulch Landscape Center. We have like 18 water features there. At 6:30 - 7:00 we will be catering in dinner at Tussey's shop, doing a bit of a deep dive in to Tussey's systems, Q&A, and just having a good time networking, hanging out. Ends whenever everyone gets sleepy :) Tussey Shop LocationTussey Displays at Landscape CenterWhat we Will Be working OnLarge Custom Pondless
A pretty large pondless waterfall, with about 20,000 gph. We got in some monster boulders for this thing. They will be the largest I have ever set. Can't stress safety enough!! Let's be careful guys! Premiere Collection Mountain Stream - 16' pondless with mossy Semco boulders This is one of our kit waterfalls that is part of the Premiere Collection line. It comes with all the bells and whistles. It sells for $17k. Usually a 2 day install with 3-4 guys. Premiere Collection Appalachian Run - 10' pondless with mossy Semco boulders Very similar to the Mountain Stream (above) Sells for $10k. In right conditions it's a one day install with 4 guys. (IF WE HAVE TIME) Premiere Collection 11'x16' Pond with 12' Stream Another of our Premiere Collection features with all the bells and whistles, mossy Semco boulders, the works. Sells for $24k and is usually a 3 day install with 3 guys. Cascade Bubbling Rock This is our Premiere Collection bubbling rock set up with 3 drilled sandstone boulders. Sells for $7,500. Usually a one day install with 3 guys. Patio Bowl Fountain 3 patio bowls arranged together to create a ornamental looking fountain. Sells for $4,500, and a 1 day install. Our main focus is going to be that large custom pondless waterfall, and the 10' Premiere Collection Appalachian Run pondless. We will see how progress goes, but we are shooting to have at least the big pondless and the 10' pondless running and completed by the end of the event. If we have time, we'll figure out if we should do the Cascade Bubbling Rocks or the Premiere Collection pond. If we do the pond, I'm doubtful we'll get it done by the end of the event. We'll see.
